1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Alexandra ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Alexandra. We may modify these terms at any time, and such modifications are effective upon posting to the website.
2. Service Description
Alexandra is a cross-domain synthesis tool that generates principles and insights by drawing from multiple knowledge domains. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze your inputs and produce outputs based on synthesis of analogous systems.
Important: Alexandra is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties. The Service is experimental and outputs should be treated as informational only.
3. AI Output Disclaimer (CRITICAL)
DISCLAIMER
Alexandra outputs are AI-generated and may contain:
- Inaccuracies or factual errors
- Hallucinations or unsupported claims
- Logical inconsistencies
- Biases from training data
- Outdated or contextually inappropriate information
You are solely responsible for:
- Independently verifying all outputs before relying on them
- Assessing accuracy and appropriateness for your use case
- Consulting qualified professionals for critical decisions
- Understanding that outputs are informational only
Alexandra is NOT a substitute for:
- Professional legal, medical, financial, or business advice
- Expert consultation in specialized domains
- Peer-reviewed research or formal analysis
- Human judgment in high-stakes decisions
We provide no warranty that outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use of Alexandra outputs is entirely at your own risk.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using the Service
- Use Alexandra only for lawful purposes
- NOT enter or submit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including but not limited to real names, physical addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, social security/national insurance numbers, or Stripe credentials, in any of the synthesis input fields.
- Not violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the Service
- Not use Alexandra to generate misinformation, deepfakes, or harmful content
- Not violate intellectual property rights of third parties
- Not harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Not circumvent security measures or access controls
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Your Content:
You retain all rights to your inputs (problem descriptions, data, etc.). By submitting content to Alexandra, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
- Store and process your inputs to provide the Service
- Use aggregate, anonymized data to improve the Service
- Share anonymized insights for research purposes
Alexandra Outputs:
You may use outputs for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Republish outputs as your own work without attribution
- Use outputs commercially without independent verification
- Claim Alexandra outputs as professional advice
- Resell or resyndicate outputs
Alexandra IP:
Alexandra, including its design, features, and algorithms, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or create derivative works
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to discover source code
- Remove or obscure copyright or proprietary notices
6. Subscription & Payment
Pricing:
- Free Plan: Limited syntheses per month
- Paid Plans: Recurring monthly charge (amount shown at checkout)
- Pricing may change with 30 days notice; changes apply to new billing periods only
Billing & Auto-Renewal:
- Subscription automatically renews each billing period unless cancelled
- You will be charged before each renewal (recurring billing)
- You may cancel anytime before the next billing date
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access until the end of your paid period
Refunds:
- No refunds are provided for partial months or unused service
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- We may provide refunds for service failures at our discretion
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
Alexandra is not liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunity
- Damages from inaccurate or unusable outputs
- Third-party claims arising from your use of outputs
- Service outages, downtime, or loss of access
- Unauthorized access to your data
Even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Cap on Liability:
Except for death, personal injury, fraud, or willful misconduct, our total liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid in the last 3 months (or £100, whichever is greater).
Exceptions:
This limitation does not apply to:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of your rights under consumer protection laws
- Liabilities that cannot be excluded by law
8. Service Availability & Outages
Alexandra is provided on an "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted service or uptime
- Availability at any specific time
- Error-free or bug-free operation
- Availability of specific features
We may suspend or terminate the Service at any time for maintenance, security, or other reasons. We will attempt to provide notice but do not guarantee it.
9. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in illegal activity
- Violate third-party rights
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Attempt to exploit or hack the Service
- Abuse the Service or other users
Upon termination:
- You lose access to the Service immediately
- Your account data will be deleted within 30 days
- You are responsible for any outstanding charges
10. Third-Party Services
Alexandra relies on third-party service providers for:
- AI language model processing
- Cloud storage and infrastructure
- Payment processing
- User authentication and identity management
We are not responsible for:
- Service failures or outages from third parties
- Changes to third-party services
- Data practices of third parties
- Third-party violations of their own terms

11. Acceptable Use Policy
You may NOT use Alexandra to:
- Create misinformation, disinformation, or deepfakes
- Generate illegal content or facilitate illegal activity
- Violate anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or rights
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse any person
- Spam, phish, or attempt to manipulate others
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to exploit the Service
- Access unauthorized areas of the Service
- Interfere with the Service or other users' access
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk download content
- Use the Service for commercial data harvesting
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alexandra from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
- Your outputs or content
- Any action or inaction based on Alexandra outputs
13. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution:
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes by contacting us at hello@alexandra.ai.
Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by English law and the laws of the United Kingdom. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, or if impossible, severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alexandra regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
